He hasn't, but it has been there a good few years and I keep a close eye on it. He has a couple of biggies on his back too, but none of them have gotten any bigger yet. Thanks for caring! Smile

I thought i was the only one in the world who pulled kitty whiskers.. I feel aweful about pulling whiskers, and i know its wrong but i just cant stop and i feel like im a shitty scum animal abuser!! Everytime i do pluck a whisker i just take the follicle off and look at it. I had trichotillomania so bad once, i completley plucked the cat free of whiskers :'( i felt so bad about it that i tried calling the humane society to take them but my mom told me i couldn't. I feel so dirty and embarresed to pick and prod at my cats and my pubes....Sad a senior found out i picked and told everyone in the highschool that i did and now im always given pretty bad for it. I just wish that there was a way we could get trichotillamia out there so people become more aware of our issues and stop making fun of us. (:

I am really sorry that you had to go through this, Mutiny. Some people are so unkind. We are usually nice people and very sensitive so it must have made you feel terrible. We are here to listen.

Love and freedom

I always pull out my dogs hairs. Not just inm general but the ones that are irregular, for instance with my older dog the white hairs and with my younger dog some of her hairs are abnormally longer than the others. I would relly like to stop this coz I fear I am hurting them Sad

Although I have never pulled hair from other people, I can think of so many times I wanted to.

When I am around animals, especially cats and dogs, I stroke them like crazy until some hair strands come loose, then pick them out. I have often been triggered by animal hair.

Stay strong, you are an amazing person, and you are not alone in this!

My husband has started getting the odd white hair and yes I do pull them out with his permission. I am getting the odd white hair too, I am thinking that I am going to have to dye my hair soon as otherwise if I get more white hairs the problem might extend to scalp pulling which is my worst dread where trichotillomania is concerned.
